Mr Alessio Vinci

Mr Alessio Vinci is a highly experienced consultant oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgeon with a strong focus on the whole spectrum of breast care. In addition to his private practice, he serves as the Clinical Governance Lead for the NHS Tayside Breast Unit. His expertise spans from benign and malignant conditions requiring surgery, to cosmetic breast surgery such as breast reduction, mastopexy, and breast augmentation.

Mr Vinci is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and a fully accredited surgeon with the UK General Medical Council. He completed his medical degree and general surgical training in Italy, followed by specialist training in breast unit teams at Cambridge University Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital, London. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and has spent time researching at the Department of Surgery of the University of California (USA) and attended, as a visiting fellow, the Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York (USA).

Mr Vinci’s approach to patient care is centred around compassion and patient safety. He tailors each procedure to meet or exceed his patient’s expectations, safeguarding their well-being while delivering natural-looking results. He understands the positive impact that well-performed cosmetic procedures can have on a person's self-esteem, and he ensures that his patients have an adequate understanding of the potential risks and benefits.

In addition to his surgical practice, he is actively involved in educating and training the next generation of surgeons in Scotland. He serves as a clinical lecturer in surgery at the University of Dundee Medical School and is an educational supervisor for surgical trainees in the East of Scotland. Mr Vinci is also invested in training the next generation of oncoplastic breast surgeons and has been involved in establishing an oncoplastic breast surgery fellowship program to promote best practices and innovation in breast care worldwide.
