Mr Alastair Thrush

Alastair is a Chartered Physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience. He graduated with distinction from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2003, following a first-class honours degree in Sports Science from the University of Birmingham.

He has worked across the NHS, private practice, and elite sport, including 10 years in professional football with Arsenal and Charlton Athletic, where he was Head of Medicine & Sports Science from 2016 to 2020. Alastair was part of the medical team at the 2012 London Olympic Games and has worked with athletes across various sports, including rugby, cricket, and triathlon.

Alastair specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports injuries, and rehabilitation, with a focus on knee and ankle injuries, ACL rehabilitation, tendon-related pathologies, and long-term athletic development. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sport & Exercise Medicine.
