Mr Alain Iserin

Dr Alain Iserin is an Orthopaedic Shoulder Surgeon who sees private patients at The Oaks Hospital in Colchester, The Cherwell Hospital in Banbury and 10 Harley Street in London. He specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder conditions, including shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, shoulder arthritis, calcific tendinosis, impingement syndrome, shoulder fractures, shoulder dislocations and sports-related shoulder injuries. He also performs shoulder replacement surgery, shoulder revision surgery, shoulder stabilisation procedures, arthroscopic (keyhole) shoulder surgery, rotator cuff repair and subacromial decompression.

Dr Iserin completed his medical degree at Université de Paris V in 1986 before undertaking postgraduate clinical training in Paris. He subsequently completed a one-year fellowship in shoulder surgery in the United States, where he trained with Professor Jobe in Los Angeles, Professor Matsen in Seattle and Professor Wolf in San Francisco. He later worked at specialist clinics in Paris, developing expertise in shoulder surgery, and joined the GMC Specialist Register for Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2012.

Dr Iserin is a member of the French Arthroscopy Society and the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow (SECEC). He is fluent in English and French.
