Mr Ajay Mohite

Mr Ajay Mohite is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon based in Belfast. He specialises in vitreoretinal surgery, and is also able to offer cataract surgery and YAG laser procedures. During his career he has gained significant expertise in treating complex eye conditions, including retinal detachment and advanced cataracts. He values providing safe and effective surgical care to his patients, and focuses on improving patient safety and outcomes wherever possible. 

Mr Mohite completed his degree in Medicine at Imperial College London in 2013, where he also gained a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours. Following completion of his training, he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth). During his career, he completed a specialist Vitreoretinal Fellowship at the Royal Free Hospital in London, where he gained his expertise in the field of vitreoretinal surgery. 

Mr Mohite is dedicated to service improvement, and has led several quality improvement projects with the aim of improving patient outcomes and surgical efficiency. He also contributes to improvement in his field through publishing academic articles in peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented his work at conferences internationally. He is also enthusiastic about teaching, and regularly contributes to the training of future ophthalmologists where he works. His ongoing dedication to research and teaching helps him to keep up-to-date with the latest advances in his field.
