Mr Abdul Alla Qureshi

Mr Abdul Qureshi is a Consultant ENT Surgeon based in Colchester, Essex, with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of ear, nose and throat conditions in both adults and children. He is particularly recognised for his work in managing ear infections, hearing loss, tinnitus and dizziness or balance disorders.

Mr Qureshi also treats a variety of nasal and sinus conditions, including nasal obstruction, nasal polyps, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, septal deviation and recurrent nosebleeds. In addition, he manages throat and neck conditions such as throat pain, tonsillitis, swallowing difficulties, voice problems and the investigation of potential throat cancers. His practice also includes the assessment and treatment of neck lumps, including thyroid-related conditions, branchial cysts, thyroglossal cysts and other benign neck masses. He has particular expertise in thyroid surgery for conditions such as goitre and suspicious thyroid nodules, as well as the treatment of salivary gland disorders including blockages caused by stones, inflammation and benign growths.

Mr Qureshi qualified in medicine from the University of Wales in 2001 and subsequently undertook specialist ENT training across England and Wales. In 2012, he completed a Master’s research degree in thyroid cancer at the University of Cambridge. He is also a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Since 2016, Mr Qureshi has served as a Consultant ENT, benign head and neck and thyroid surgeon at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. In addition to his NHS work, he sees private patients at Oaks Hospital in Colchester.

Mr Qureshi provides paediatric ENT consultations via e-consultation for first opinions, follow-up appointments and triage, as surgical services for children are not offered at Oaks Hospital. Through his clinical work, he aims to provide thorough assessment, clear explanations and effective treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
