Jessica is a chartered women’s health physiotherapist who loves all things women’s health. She has 25 years clinical experience and has held senior roles in the NHS and the private sector.

What is women’s health physiotherapy?It is the assessment and treatment of problems affecting the pelvis and the pelvic floor. Pelvic floor problems can occur at any stage of a woman’s life. They are common, but they are not normal. Due to the lack of information, and a culture of embarrassment around these problems, women often assume their symptoms must be tolerated. This is not the case as they are highly treatable with physiotherapy. Women’s health physiotherapy is about relieving symptoms and guiding women back to full strength so they feel well and confident and can safely return to the activities they enjoy, including exercise.

Jessica runs her own clinic called Women’s Physiotherapy Reigate and is able to help women with pelvic floor problems including urinary and faecal incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain including pain in and around the pelvis before and after childbirth, as well as pain during intercourse. Jessica also offers antenatal and postnatal MOT and provides rehabilitation and guidance on returning to sport after childbirth, as well as seeing women who are experiencing women’s health problems during the peri and post menopause. She also sees women following gynaecological surgery and gynaecological cancer.

As well as treating women in her clinic, Jessica also works for the NHS locally. She is passionate about empowering women with all the information they need to improve and resolve pelvic floor problems.
