With NHS hospitals usually only offering one type of lens implant called a monofocal aspheric lens, Vision Scotland ensures a range of options to ensure that the lens implant is matched to each individual's lifestyle and measurements. This ensures best possible results.
The diagnostic testing offered at Vision Scotland is undertaken by highly experienced optometrists, and the clinics offer flexibility in appointment times to ensure that diagnosis and subsequent treatment will fit in around any schedule. The team offer long appointments, over an hour in most cases; to ensure that all issues are discussed and that both patients and clincians are happy with the course of action discussed.
After any treatment, patients are not simply left to carry on their normal lives without any follow up; they have easy access to advice following their treatment if required and will receive any follow up care they need.

I had a very positive experience with my cataract surgery. From the initial consultation through to the procedure and follow up care the staff were brilliant, caring and professional. Meeting with my surgeon Jonathan Foulds prior to the surgery was another plus that put me at ease. Everything was clearly explained and on the day of surgery the staff made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the process. The surgery went smoothly with absolutely no pain. Great chat with the staff throughout the procedure. The aftercare and explanation of what to expect and what to do post surgery fully explained. The information provided via text links to videos pre and post surgery are really great.
From the moment I arrived l was made welcome and kept informed throughout as to what would happen. I was offered coffee and during my short wait every staff member who passed smiled and said hello.My procedure- both eyes- went well and l was cared for well during recovery. I was fully informed about after care with medication fully explained. The earlier and follow up short videos were most helpful and reassuring.

The Vision Scotland practice in Aberdeen is superb. As soon as you walk in you are met with friendly & helpful staff who have everything methodically organised. I’d only a two week wait from the time I had my initial meeting to the day of my surgery. Incredible. On the day of my surgery I was only in the practice for approximately 2 1/2hours. I was reassured & supported throughout. The after care too has been second to none with phone calls, booklets & handy, short, informative videos. Thank you ever so much Vision Scotland.

I found the whole experience very positive and can’t fault the efficiency and friendliness of all the staff who dealt with me. I was very well informed about each stage of the experience and every opportunity was provided for me to ask questions and gain information.
