My recent contact was brilliant, I felt well listened to, I had plenty of time to speak and ask questions, I feel a valued part of my care and well supported with information to support my decision

The assesor was understanding and compassionate.

A.M was very supportive and empathetic. The appointment was less stressful than anticipated. I would have liked more context over what to expect during the appointment, I didn’t know if it would just be one appointment or multiple, if I was going to be doing an ADOS for example, and why/ why not.

It was very helpful, fast and easy to talk to the assement team

I had a bit of a longer wait than expected and still have three months to wait post diagnosis for medication. But, it’s still quicker than other places. Getting the diagnosis was a breath of fresh air as have meaning to how I’ve felt for all these years. Just want to wait to be over and finally medicated so I can focus and get back to being me.

I was made to feel very comfortable and at ease

I recently had my ASD assessment with a lovely woman called Hannah under the NHS Right to Choose pathway! Hannah was super lovely and made the process just feel like a casual conversation instead of a formal assessment which was nice to experience as I was super nervous to undertake this.
