The ratings given were not for my recent online appointment which was very good. The Dr was calm, reassuring, patient and thorough. I have absolutely no issues with that appointment itself, and the offer of continuity of care for my next medication appointment was very welcome. However the initial confusion about RTN not having received my ECG from my GP was unsettling and raised fears that my appointment would again be cancelled due to lack of communication between departments within RTN and between RTN and myself. My previous medication appointment had been suddenly cancelled without any notice. This was apparently due to my not having completed a questionnaire that I didn’t receive, or didn’t notice as it came from a different email address. I was not sent a reminder to complete before my appointment (which was still more than a week away) but suddenly received an email telling me that I had cancelled the appointment - perhaps due to the policy of three patient cancellations resulting in the need to pay privately. Or is that me being cynical? Surely a simple reminder email (even a system -generated one as the cancellation email appeared to be) would not have been too difficult and would have been a more considerate way of managing the issue. One of the worst experiences I've ever had. Poor communication, only advising of case progress and procedures after complaints raised about not being given updates or appropriate information, poor response to enquiries and a distinct lack of patient care throughout the process.

I had my third consultation today with Indie from the titration team. Same as before he was very kind and approachable, listening actively to my concerns and questions, then adjusting the treatment according to my response to previous changes. In his hands I feel safe and well looked after, which actually is a continuation of my entire experience with RTN right from the beginning. Thank you to the RTN team for changing my life to the better.

Easy to join link. Felt extremely anxious prior to and during the assessment. I did feel that we were going over some things already covered in the questionnaires which made me wonder if they had been read. Was disappointed that at the end I was not given a time frame for next steps and when I asked was told it could be months…whilst I understand and appreciate that the service is very busy, for someone who struggles with the unknown I have been left feeling very uneasy and finding this very difficult as I have been completely overthinking, replaying all the questions from the assessment. I did receive an email few days laster stating 8-12weeks, however people I know who have had assessments with other providers have had feedback within a week so it feels a very long time.
