About Priory Eden House

Eden House, part of Priory, is a welcoming and affordable, 18-bed residential service in Mill Hill, North London on the Hertfordshire border. It’s home to Flourish – our pioneering, therapy-led addiction programme that offers personalised support for a wide range of addictions in a calm, homely environment.

Priced at £4,410 for a 14-day stay

Delivered by experienced therapists in a non-medical setting, Flourish provides an alternative to traditional hospital-based treatment. It’s designed for people who don’t need a medical detox or ongoing medical care but would benefit from structured therapy, a supportive community, and practical tools to achieve meaningful, sustainable recovery.

Eden House forms part of Priory’s wider network of residential addiction treatment homes across the UK, each offering high-quality, therapy-led care within safe and supportive surroundings. At Eden House, you’ll be guided by a dedicated therapeutic team who will work closely with you to create a plan that meets your individual needs.

Through evidence-based therapies and a warm, reassuring atmosphere, you’ll learn how to manage life’s challenges, build resilience, and maintain your wellbeing long after treatment ends. Programmes are available as 14, 28 or 42-day stays, with the flexibility to extend this if you need to. The service is competitively priced at £4,410 for a 14-day stay.

Residential addiction treatment in North London

Eden House treats a wide range of substance and behavioural addictions, including alcohol, drugs, gambling, social media/internet use, gaming, shopping, exercise, sex and love addiction, pornography and work addiction.

At Eden House, you’ll benefit from:

  • Therapy-led support, including psychoeducation, group therapy and innovative approaches such as exposure work and virtual reality (VR) technologies
  • A focus on resilience, life skills and building healthy relationships within a supportive community
  • Family involvement, with a 2-day programme for loved ones (for residents staying a minimum of 28 days) and weekly support groups to repair relationships, set boundaries and strengthen relapse prevention strategies
  • Free online aftercare for everyone who completes a minimum 28-day residential stay with us. This is available for 12 months after treatment, helping you stay connected and supported as you continue your recovery journey. Our weekly Zoom sessions provide a safe, understanding space to share experiences, stay connected and build on the progress you made at Eden House

What we offer

At Eden House, therapy is at the heart of everything we do. Our programme brings together a wide range of evidence-based therapy types, each chosen to help you develop practical coping strategies, and build the confidence and resilience needed for lasting recovery.

No two journeys are the same so we tailor therapy to your individual needs – combining group sessions, one-to-one support, psychoeducation, creative therapies and innovative techniques. This ensures you receive a well-rounded, personalised experience that addresses both the challenges of addiction and the skills required for everyday life. Therapies include:

  • Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
  • Trauma therapy
  • Psychoeducational groups
  • Creative writing
  • Understanding relationships
  • Self-care and wellbeing

As part of your recovery journey, you’ll also take part in our cutting-edge exposure therapy – designed to help you safely confront the situations that may trigger cravings, stress or relapse outside of treatment.

At Priory, our experts use ground-breaking immersive VR technology to create real-life scenarios in a safe and controlled setting. From social environments to high-pressure situations, this approach allows you to build resilience, develop coping strategies and reduce your sensitivity to potential triggers – all before you encounter them in daily life.

By integrating true-to-life exposure into your programme, we help you gain confidence, lower your risk of relapse and feel better prepared for long-term recovery.

We also recognise that improving wellbeing plays a large part in facilitating a full and lasting recovery. As such, we provide access to a number of wellbeing activities, enabling our clients to focus on their mind, body and spirit. These include:

  • Fitness groups
  • Community-based trips and activities
  • Relaxation techniques

Our environment

Eden House is located in Mill Hill, a suburb in the London borough of Barnet, around seven miles from Kings Cross, with good transport links across Greater London. We are within walking distance of Mill Hill East station, just 25 minutes from Central London. The home also provides:

  • A beautiful garden, where you can relax and unwind
  • Newly refurbished and welcoming living areas
  • An accessible location, with good transport links and access to community facilities including shops, a local gym and various wooded areas and cycle paths

You don’t have to face addiction alone – recovery is possible, and we’re here to help you find your way forward.

Amazing experience at Eden House. The therapists are understanding, knowledgeable and have changed my life. I will continue to work with the tools they have given me. The HCA’s are truly remarkable, such a family atmosphere. I would say just embrace and trust the process

Where to begin. This was the best thing I've ever done for myself in my life. The support staff were exceptional and took time to care for each individual within Eden house with a family like approach. Maria and Sham particularly stood out to me, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent with every person within the team. Regarding Therapy, it was extremely engaging and deeply thought provoking with a mix of interactive workshops and group therapy exploring my emotions associated with my own challenges. Simon Drake, Gourshan, Sophie & Jo provided me with an incredible insight into myself and a deeper understanding of addiction and trauma. The control group session in the mornings where powerful and remain an activity I will be recreating at home. Overall, I feel that Eden house has now taken a spiritual place in my heart and mind, I will forever feel connected to this home. Finally - a comment on the time periods and other patients I experienced. I attended for 2 weeks, during this time I was fortunate enough to build relationships that will last a lifetime. The camaraderie that can be built in this safe and open environment enables a place to begin recovery and may be just as important as the team that support you. The added benefit of having people complete treatment and new patients arriving there after creates a useful dynamic within treatment. It injects energy, provides new perspectives and best of all reminds each person of why they are lucky enough to have made it to Eden house. Thank you to all the team. You should be proud of the work you do, because yo...
