What addictions does Oasis Runcorn treat?

Oasis Runcorn provides residential treatment for a wide range of substance and behavioural addictions.

Alcohol addiction - We support adults working to overcome alcohol dependency, including those who require a medically supported detox before beginning the wider therapeutic programme.

Drug addiction - Our programme addresses dependency on substances including cannabis, cocaine and crack cocaine, heroin, crystal meth, ketamine, LSD and ecstasy, GHB and GBL, spice and other legal highs, monkey dust, and anabolic steroids.

Prescription medication addiction - We treat dependency involving benzodiazepines, prescription opioids, sleeping medications such as zopiclone and zolpidem, and prescription stimulants.

Behavioural addiction - Where clinically appropriate, treatment can also address gambling, gaming, compulsive internet use, shopping addiction, and sex and love addiction.

Our focus is residential rehabilitation built around sustained behavioural change, with detox available as an initial stage of treatment where it's clinically required rather than as a standalone service.

When can I start treatment, and how long will I stay?

Our admissions team can be contacted seven days a week to talk through your circumstances and, where needed, arrange an urgent admission.

How long you stay depends on factors including the substances involved, whether detox is required, and your broader recovery goals, which is why treatment length is agreed individually rather than fixed in advance.

Oasis Runcorn's residential programmes run across 14, 21, 28, 42, 56 or 84 days, with a 90-day treatment commitment also available, plus the option of a 7-day extension for those who feel they would benefit from additional time.

Where is Oasis Runcorn located, and what facilities are available?

Oasis Runcorn is based at 38-40 Bridge Street, Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 1BY, a historic port town on the banks of the Mersey.

Rather than housing residents in a single building, the centre is arranged across seven self-contained flats, three of which include their own communal living room, giving treatment a more domestic, community-based rhythm alongside its structured programme.

Our facilities include:

• A dedicated residents' laundry room
• A communal garden, including an outdoor therapy pod used for individual and group sessions
• A mini gym with a weight bench and exercise bike
• A communal dining space, with meals prepared by an in-house chef

How does treatment work at Oasis Runcorn?

Step 1: A confidential first conversation

Step 2: Clinical assessment

Before admission, we assess your circumstances, including any co-occurring mental health needs, and help you decide between the 12-Step and Strengths Model pathways.

For clients who require it, detox takes place on site, with a doctor on call to oversee the process.

Step 4: Structured residential treatment

You'll take part in your chosen programme, combining individual and group therapy with workshops, yoga and gong therapy, supported throughout by a dedicated key worker.

Step 5: Planning for life after treatment

As your stay comes to an end, we work with you to put a recovery plan in place, which can include signposting to suitable move-on accommodation, supported by free aftercare and ongoing access to the Alumni community.

Loved ones can take part in online family therapy support and join fortnightly family group sessions, and visits can usually be arranged once a resident has settled into their programme.
