Montrose Health Group is a CQC-regulated private healthcare provider specialising in mental health, addiction, and neurodiversity for individuals aged 7 and over. Established in 2018, the group began as the UK’s first multi-functional health and wellness retreat and has since expanded into clinical and corporate services across Sheffield, Derbyshire, London, and online. The service offers outpatient and residential care, providing tailored support for UK-based and international clients.
The team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and therapists deliver assessments and treatment for ADHD, autism, alcohol dependency, drug addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, burnout, panic disorder, binge eating, overeating, and gambling addiction, as well as support with inter-family conflict. Care is delivered through comprehensive ADHD assessments, therapy and counselling, addiction treatment, and specialist residential programmes in the Peak District. Each treatment plan is designed to meet individual needs, combining evidence-based clinical interventions with therapeutic and lifestyle support.
Alongside clinical care, Montrose offers corporate services, including vulnerable client training, advisory frameworks, and burnout retreats. The group emphasises discretion, privacy, and continuity of care through a one-client-at-a-time approach.

My son was assessed and diagnosed and this part of the process was fine. Once he started medication and I was paying for private prescriptions there was no appropriate level of aftercare. My son’s symptoms got worse and when I called for help I was told someone would call me back but they never did. I was then told the prescribing appointment which you pay for could have been used to discuss the dangerous side effects but as I’d already parted with close to £2000 I would have thought a phone call when needed would be provided.
Good afternoon, and thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are very sorry to learn about your experience, and not receiving a call back as your son's symptoms deteriorated, as it certainly does not reflect the high standards we strive to maintain at Montrose. Please be assured that we will be looking into this matter further. If you would like to discuss your concerns in more detail, our team would be more than happy to assist you. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
My experience started very positively. However, as time went on it became more and more clear I could have gone anywhere on the internet and got the same service for a fraction of the cost. My diagnosis was just a copy and paste from my questionnaires and some details were incorrect. At the appointment when I was given my diagnosis the clinician didn't show up for the first meeting (via online call) then hastily rebooked another, to which she was late. She delivered the diagnosis with zero explanation and rushed through it to get to her next appointment. My appointment lasted about twelve minutes. Nothing was properly explained to me, not even the nature of the diagnosis or what it meant. And there was no follow up at all. After several weeks of waiting I initiated an email to a member of staff to which I was sent an email of options going forward. No explanation or anything, just a cold email saying I could be assessed for meds or have coaching. I haven't really known what to do since then and there has been no follow up from that point whatsoever. The fees attached to Motrose for this 'treatment' are very expensive, and is not reflective on your service in any way shape or form. I have been extremely disappointed with it and it has solved nothing.
Good afternoon, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are deeply sorry to hear of your experience, this does not accurately reflect the standard we pride ourselves on at Montrose. We shall look into this matter, and if you wish to discuss this further please do contact our team who will be available to speak with you regarding this.
The booking process and assessments were easy to book, in a time that suited us and everyone was so kind, especially to my daughter who was worried about the appointments
As a 25 year old man who had no idea he needed a diagnosis of ADHD, the team at Montrose really helped bring me into the light. The wait times were comparatively non-existent compared to other avenues I tried, and once I had my diagnosis explained to me by one of their very professional and supportive experts, they made no delays in getting me all the support I could need. My prescriber is genuinely one of the most diligent professionals I’ve ever met, and is always sure to check on my wellbeing thoroughly before we proceed with each appointment. They make sure I am not only adhering with the treatment they recommend, but also taking steps back and reflecting along the way, and even prompting me with basic self-care advice to make sure that we are both working hard for the best outcome for myself. I can safely say that the support I’ve received from Montrose has made me feel like I have a brain again, rather than jumbling through life not knowing how to climb each hill ahead of me. The support I’ve received has made me feel like my adult life has truly begun, and I’m so happy to be able to say that.
I couldn’t fault Montrose health group at all. From my first enquiry to the support we’ve had since diagnosis has been fantastic. I’ve recommended them to every one I know struggling with the support of CAMHS. thank you so much
Had a triage assessment over the phone with the lovely assistant psychologist Grace today. I received an introductory email from her prior to the assessment explaining her role in the process, and another one following our call which clearly outlined next steps. During the call Grace was so friendly and put me at ease, I could tell she was really listening to me which I appreciate!
Virtual triage so can’t comment on facility cleanliness but over all great survive, supportive staff and comfortable setting: super quick lead times and comfortable setting
Initially I saw Grace for the triage session - she was very friendly, helpful, patient and thorough. Then we saw Roberta who was wonderful with our son and managed to explain things to him and also put an anxious Mum and Dad at ease and helped us all begin to understand the complexities of ADHD Brilliant
The team that worked with my son hear were fantastic from the first initial conversation to our outcome, It was exactly what we needed for our son and as a whole family , what a lovely team and a calm atmosphere and a positive experience I am that happy and impressed with the lovely staff I am bringing my daughter hear within the next few months Thank you Dr Radcliffe-Birds You have changed our lives for the better
Very helpful and insightful, very pleased with the outcome
