We were so lucky to find Livaware and feel incredibly grateful for the thorough, kind and professional attention of Hemmen. After 4 months in ICU my stepfather was diagnosed with a terminal disease. Livaware helped in every way to find the best solution for discharge and the next phase. At every stage, they were on top of medical needs, communicated clearly with doctors and nurses, queried any obstacles in a polite and constructive way, and suggested solutions with confidence and with respect for doctors and patient and family. First, they assessed our home and advised all options for providing home care — whether 100% with their services and equipment, or a combination of their provisions and ours. At every stage, Hemmen asked all the right questions in a kind, sensitive and professional manner. Next, we considered nursing homes. Again, Livaware was 100% attentive and engaged. They visited the nursing home, had direct conversations with their management and healthcare providers, liaised with the patient and the medical and discharge teams at the hospital. And finally, Livaware recognized a window of opportunity for my stepfather to be able to take a flight back home. Again, they offered everything from arranging an on-board nursing companion, to arranging a private flight, to simply advising preparations for the patient to be ready for a solo commercial flight.
