Straight Teeth Direct aims to straighten crowded, spaced or protruding teeth in 5–9 months by means of invisible aligners sent to the patient's home.

The process starts by the patient uploading five clear photos and answering a few questions, and a dentist will confirm the patient's suitability. An impression kit is then used to take and return teeth moulds to the laboratory. Patients visit their local dentist for regular check-ups and hygiene to maintain optimal dental health, and Straight Teeth Direct acts as a virtual orthodontist.

Dental experts use the impressions to take accurate measurements and create a 3D simulation of the patient's predicted smile. An assigned orthodontist compiles a personalised comprehensive orthodontic report that includes a detailed diagnosis, expected movement and results, and predicted treatment time.

Custom-made aligners are delivered in stages (on average four deliveries) according to progress measured by virtual monthly reviews. Patients are expected to wear the aligners for 22 hours a day and change to a new set every 2 weeks, to start seeing results in as little as 90 days. With an average treatment duration of 5–9 months, it is important to remember that each case is different and so requires personalised attention.

Patients simply share photos of their teeth every month so that the clinical team can analyse them and check progress via the app's percentage progress tracker. An experienced team of dentists and orthodontists are on hand to offer advice and support throughout the entire procedure.

At the end of the treatment, patients can join the affordable Maintainer Plan to receive new fresh and effective retainers every 6 months.
