DR Merrie was excellent

Very relaxed and friendly experience from making the booking in the morning through the consultation with the doctor in the afternoon. For someone who hasn’t attended a practice for quite some time and not knowing what to expect it was very pleasant.

As usual the reception staff were efficient and helpful. The doctor was prompt and the examination was very thorough the doctor explained everything as she went along, providing guidance and advice.

Following an annual health review, I was advised to get an urgent check up on a skin lesion - but the next specialist appointment was 3 months away! Having had a good experience with Edinburgh GP before and knowing that they offer in house day surgery, I got in touch. Within a day I had a reassuring appointment and within 3 days the lesion was removed. The whole process - from diagnosis to removal was extremely professional and it was a great relief to receive top quality care all in one place.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Taken in on time and made to feel welcome from the start. Having bloods taken the week before made the process very slick and all results were available for discussion with David, who was thorough and brilliantly communicated every aspect. Explanations given for all the key results with context and relationships between various figures expanded upon. Up to date equipment took very accurate measurements and it's always good to be told your metabolism is 15 years younger than your age! Questions I had were taken seriously and David's wealth of knowledge and experience was evidenced throughout.
