Dr Gerald Coakley

The Fatigue Clinic is a virtual, video-based medical practice in London dedicated to the assessment, diagnosis, and management of fatigue-related conditions. The clinic provides care for individuals experiencing persistent fatigue, chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME), post-viral fatigue, long COVID, and other complex conditions associated with fatigue and reduced quality of life.

The clinic is led by Dr Gerald Coakley, a consultant physician with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of fatigue-related disorders. Dr Coakley trained at The Royal London Hospital and was a Registrar at several major London Teaching Hospitals. He completed his PhD in molecular immunogenetics at Guy's Hospital Campus, King's College London.  

The Fatigue Clinic provides comprehensive assessments that consider medical, physical, and lifestyle factors that may contribute to fatigue. Services include diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, symptom management, rehabilitation strategies, and support for individuals with long-term fatigue conditions. 

Dr Coakley has contributed to research and education in the field of rheumatology, and his book, Living with ME and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome was published by Penguin in 2022.
