Darcy Healthcare

Darcy Healthcare is a specialist diagnostic imaging centre located at the Llandarcy Academy of Sport in Skewen, Neath, serving patients from across South Wales and beyond. The centre offers a comprehensive range of MRI and ultrasound services using advanced technology and a patient-centred approach. Their MRI service uses a state-of-the-art 1.5T Aera scanner to produce high-resolution images of the body, allowing for the diagnosis and monitoring of a wide variety of conditions affecting the brain, spine, joints, soft tissues, internal organs, and cardiovascular system.

The ultrasound department provides scans for areas such as the abdomen, pelvis, thyroid, testicles, and blood vessels, as well as musculoskeletal issues. Patients also have access to a wide selection of ultrasound-guided treatments, including corticosteroid injections, PRP therapy, hyaluronic acid injections, prolotherapy, dry needling, and hydrodilatation for both frozen shoulder and Achilles tendinopathy. The centre runs a dedicated one-stop prostate clinic that offers five key tests, including PSA testing and a multiparametric MRI, in a single appointment with same-day results and face-to-face consultation.

Darcy Healthcare also supports back pain and sports injury clinics and works in collaboration with physiotherapists to assist with injury rehabilitation and chronic pain management.

A partnership with Springbok Analytics, an MRI software company, has enabled access to personalised 3D muscular reports to identify and measure every individual muscle - creating a digital twin of your muscle strucuture.

Services are available to both NHS and private patients, with the option to self-refer for certain scans and treatments. The clinical team is made up of highly trained radiologists, physiotherapists, and imaging professionals committed to ensuring every patient receives clear, timely, and accurate diagnostics in a safe and welcoming environment.
