Third assessment so knew what to expect though wasn't expecting VO2 test on the bike! Ask in advance what equipment will be used.

Instructions were very easy to follow and I can see how the assessment is very thorough. This is my second assessment and the experience today just confirmed the value of doing it for me

This team and program are amazing and I do not know where I would be today without them. For the first four weeks post surgery I was physically and psychologically struggling and then in stepped the team from CP+R. From that moment on, I felt as though I could get back to being me again. The confidence they filled me with and the structured rehabilitation program got me moving again. With experienced cardiac rehabilitation on hand and literally on the end of a phone at all times gave me the confidence to push forward. Pretty soon I was walking 4 miles, doing sessions on an exercise bike and some low intensity resistance exercises. It felt so empowering. For anyone who has had any form of cardiac procedure, I urge you to reach out to the team at CP+R and see for yourself. It is such a shame that this kind of program is not available to a wider audience through a vehicle like the NHS, I am sure it will benefit so many people if it were. A special mention to Kate for onboarding me and checking in regularly, to Angela for her constant support and patience for all my questions and final...
