Hospital clerical procedures were efficient and carried out within a short timeframe and the staff were very friendly.

Parking is a serious problem. Always had to take my partner so that I could bail out while she looked for parking if nothing available, despite having a blue parking badge. Written communications generally fine, but one or two things were a bit confusing. Other than that, everything else (the stuff that matters most) was all good.

The BMI Albyn Hospital comprises of three or four separate old buildings in the centre of Aberdeen city which have been converted into accommodation for in-patient care, MRI imaging and x-ray facilities together with outpatient appointments. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and I found their care excellent whilst I was an inpatient. However there are a few problems which arise from the conversion of old buildings into a facility which would be better served if it was purpose built. There is very little parking space, the accommodation both for outpatient clinics and inpatient surgery is somewhat basic and it can be difficult to negotiate all the areas. It is convenient for those patients who live in or near Aberdeen but the lack of car parking spaces and the somewhat fragmented nature of the various departments is unfortunate. However the care I received was excellent overall.

My experience was very good. All personnel that tended to me were helpful, considerate and provided me with excellent care.

The staff are all friendly and always willing to answer any queries. Waiting times were exceptionally quick - thank goodness for private hospitals!
