About Amatsu Clinic
Amatsu Clinic is a holistic therapy practice based in Abergavenny, providing Acupuncture and Amatsu therapy and a range of complementary health and wellbeing services. Amatsu combines Japanese movement-based techniques with modern anatomical principles and uses gentle, hands-on methods to assess posture, movement and soft-tissue function. Treatment is carried out while the patient remains clothed and may include mobilisation, fascial release, muscle-energy techniques, acupressure and massage.
The clinic supports patients with concerns including back, neck and joint pain, posture-related discomfort, sports injuries, sprains, strains, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, headaches and reduced mobility. In addition to Amatsu, services include acupuncture, ozone therapies, intermittent hypoxic-hyperoxic training, private blood testing, intravenous therapy, carbon dioxide therapy and doctor-led menopause and women's wellbeing consultations.
The team includes practitioners with backgrounds in nursing, Amatsu, acupuncture, Reiki, naturopathy, nutrition and general practice. Assessments and treatment plans are adapted to the individual, and patients may be referred to another healthcare professional when their needs fall outside the clinic's scope of practice.

When I arrived at clinic had difficulty getting out of my car even took ramp rather than two steps, knee was very painful. Was greeted by Stephan who then proceeded to examine my leg and posture. After examination it was advised that I would benefit from an injection to ease the pain. I was not rushed into making a decision, was given time to think about the benefit that the injection would make and was shown a skeleton type knee and fully explained what was the likely cause of my pain. I agreed to injection, which I must say although apprehensive was painless. It felt strange at first when I tried to walk, but within a few minutes was able to walk without feeling severe pain in my knee, was also able to drive home and able to change gear without feeling severe pain. Pleased to say that last night was the first time I have slept without pain in knee. I would recommend Stephan’s practice to anyone suffering chronic pain, he is very professional and understanding of how much chronic pain affects your life. Don’t hesitate make that appointment.
