After a warning from the neurosurgeon & oncologist who had been monitoring the regrowth of my meningioma in September 2023 that it required surgery & as it was a second operation it was at high risk of stroke, bleeding, bone infection, going through old scar tissue, the tumour was pressing against a large vein. My daughter suggested I sought a second opinion, we chose Mr Shoakazemi who also specialises in my type of brain tumour.  He confirmed…the risks were very high indeed, the brain tumour had grown too big for fractionated radiotherapy and surgery through the old wound of some 20 + years ago was the only option. We found Mr Shoakazemi to be extremely approachable, professional, calm, warm & informative.  I feel incredibly lucky to have had the faith on a date said to be the unluckiest day in the yearly calendar …Friday 13th October to undergo surgery with such a gifted neurosurgeon. I am (thankfully to Mr Shoakazemi) walking straight, talking straight & feeling fully blessed.

I felt at ease and was recommend by Bhupal Chitnavis. A wise choice.

Clearly explained the procedure and allowed me to make my own decision on which on treatment, gave me information to take away and read.

Overall, I have been very impressed by Mr Lee. From my first consultation, I knew I had made the right decision to put my trust in him and the resultant surgery was a success. Mr Lee was always very thorough in his explanation of the proposed procedure, ensuring that he covered all aspects of the surgery and what my expectations would be. He was very professional throughout and he obviously has very high standards of his own work. I am also impressed with his follow up procedures and after care ensuring that there will be a full recovery.

I could not recommend Mr Mokawem enough after the treatment and care he has given me for my scoliosis. Every appointment we had, we are always approached with a reassuring and calm manner, and feeling fully informed on our possible options. We were meant to go ahead with surgery, yet after the Multi-Disciplinary Meeting took place, we were told that in my current position, they should not operate until further investigation had taken place. This just shows how incredible this team is, willing to postpone the surgery as something was not quite adding up. However, after thorough investigation, the surgery went ahead. He always left me choice throughout this process, listing all of the benefits and drawbacks of each stage. I was operated on at the RNOH, and almost every day, Mr Mokawem would come and see me. On around day 3, he came in and asked me if I wanted to stand and go for a short walk. I didn’t as this was one of the days I felt the most sore, but after some time chatting with him, he reassured me and supported me to push myself. I could not be more grateful for Mr Mokawem and his team’s care, and would highly recommend him to anyone! He has been hugely reassuring both to me and my parents.

Mr Verganis is exceptionally professional and kind. Obviously he has a wealth of experience and is an expert in his field. I’m truly grateful for the relief I feel from all the symptoms I had previously and some I haven’t mentioned. I was about to make an appointment for an assessment relating to restless leg syndrome as I was experiencing constant twitching and restlessness in both legs whenever I lay down. All that, was stopped due to the op. I’m pleased to say that since my operation the twitching and restlessness is also gone. Thank you Mr Vergani for treating and relieving almost 3years of anguish and also that I can now lay down without twitching or restlessness in both legs.

Dr. Yeh is is very patient person and tried his best to explain to me what my problem was and what would be the best solution for me. Everything was very clear after my second visit. He was also very professional in terms of what tests need to be done to identify the real problem causing my backpain. After seeing the results, referred me to a very good specialist for physical therapy. He is following up with me on a regular basis to make sure that I am getting better and my treatment goes well. Really pleased with service and advice and care of mr rai. After initial consultation and discussion of all the options. I was fortunate that the problem I had was seen too early and at the time was not suffering like other people further down the line with same condition, just pins/needles etc. So with the advice given by mr rai and explaining the procedure making clear benefits and risks. I was very concerned. But knew it had to be done to avoid future problems. Mr rai spoke to me before operation of disc replacement of c5/c6. once again explaining procedure. I’ve had operation and am back on my feet and going home following day after mr rai telling me operation all went well. I thought I’d be in more pain but actually feel comfortable. I’m looking forward to getting back to all gym classes etc. I can’t recommend mr rai services enough Thank you
