I could not recommend Mr Mokawem enough after the treatment and care he has given me for my scoliosis. Every appointment we had, we are always approached with a reassuring and calm manner, and feeling fully informed on our possible options. We were meant to go ahead with surgery, yet after the Multi-Disciplinary Meeting took place, we were told that in my current position, they should not operate until further investigation had taken place. This just shows how incredible this team is, willing to postpone the surgery as something was not quite adding up. However, after thorough investigation, the surgery went ahead. He always left me choice throughout this process, listing all of the benefits and drawbacks of each stage. I was operated on at the RNOH, and almost every day, Mr Mokawem would come and see me. On around day 3, he came in and asked me if I wanted to stand and go for a short walk. I didn’t as this was one of the days I felt the most sore, but after some time chatting with him, he reassured me and supported me to push myself. I could not be more grateful for Mr Mokawem and his team’s care, and would highly recommend him to anyone! He has been hugely reassuring both to me and my parents.

He was precise, easy to understand, for me as a non medically trained person, he had a good manner, was polite and caring.

I had complete confidence in Mr Aylott's expertise in spine issues and appreciated his clear and sound explanations. I opted for surgery and Mr Aylott performed a microdiscectomy on me just 3 weeks later at the London Spine Unit, Harley Street. I was admitted at 8.15am and walked out of the hospital at 3.15pm the same day feeling amazingly well. Now six weeks on from my surgery I have no more sciatic or back pain and at 74 feel fit and mobile once again. I have several friends who have back issues and have naturally recommended him to them.
