He performed surgery on my separated AC joint 11 years ago and it has been excellent ever since. I can play all the sport I want!

On my first meeting with Mr Platt he explained to me why I had been suffering with such bad knee pain for many years. Immediately, he was able to clearly explain to me what was causing the pain, what options were available to me and what level of improvement I could hope to expect after treatment. At every meeting, Mr Platt managed my expectations of what the outcome of the surgery would be. He explained clearly to me details of my knee injury and the planned surgery. I knew exactly what to expect from the surgery, as Mr Platt always took the time to explain everything to me in a very professional and friendly manner. I had a tibial tubercle transfer, lateral release and patellofemoral chondroplasty on my left knee in December and I feel that I have made good progress since then. The surgery was successful and my wounds have healed very well. Post surgery I have had a lot of support from my physiotherapist (in conjunction with Mr Platt) and continue to make improvements on a weekly basis. Mr Platt is an excellent surgeon and thanks to him I have seen a significant improvement in the pain in my knee. Although I am not 100% pain free, I feel reassured that under Mr Platt’s care (and the continued support from the physiotherapy team) I will see even more improvement in my knee over the next 12 months, which will make a huge difference to me.

Can’t rate Mr Davidson highly enough! I was referred to him by my GP due to osteoarthritis in both knees. X-rays had already confirmed this. On our first meeting, he X-rayed my hips and found the same problem. One total hip replacement and total replacement of both knees was therefore necessary. This was August. By March all three operations were completed. Before he started, we checked his statistics online. In a trade where practice really does make perfect, he had completed a greater than average number of procedures with less than average complications. This is no doubt due to his thoroughness and attention to detail which was mentioned by his registrars in post-op discussion as being above average. He instils confidence with his cheerful, friendly and humorous personality and a calmness which belies the stress that must accompany this job. My operations were all completed successfully and I am very pleased with the results. At 68 I had developed the gait of a 90-year old, but have been transformed by these ops into......a normal 68 year old (at least)! Many, many thanks.
