Approximately 3 months ago i began to have gynae symptoms that highlighted something was not right. Worried and panicking, I contacted Mr Naji who offered a sameday consultation with diagnostics so we could start to understand the issue. Louise is part of the team who performs all the logistics in terms of appointments, questions etc and she was brilliant, she told me what to expect from the consultation. Tests showed that Uterine Fibroids were the cause and we swiftly moved onto further diagnostics of MRI scans which were done the same week. Again, the pace and reassurance given was outstanding and at each stage i had Louise to help answer any questions that i had. Long story short, we quickly agreed that a fully hysterectomy was needed and we moved quickly to arrange surgery. I am now in week 1 of recovery, feeling sore but relieved, but more importantly thankful that i found Mr Naji and his team who have supported me through this journey, the care i received was outstanding and cannot describe how important this is when going through such a major operation.

Natalie took care in asking the relevant questions to do with unsuccessful pregnancies and the female health issues I have experienced. I have not experienced a consultant asking questions in such a human way and with genuine concern. After a thorough consultation and explanation along the way, I feel empowered and educated about the road ahead. Thank you, Natalie.

We highly recommend Doctor Mavrelos to anyone that needs a trustful and highly experienced Doctor! IVF and ICSI can be challenging but since we’ve met with Dr Mavrelos, we’ve always felt that we had the right plan and support we needed. I was very lucky to have been treated by Dr. karoshi. He has this very calm and warm demeanor, which was very welcomed by someone like me who's usually a little nervous. He is very patient, the same question he'd explain to me again and again till I understood completely. He was very thorough, unlike my previous experience, he took the time to thoroughly investigate my situation, came up with the best surgery option, one ensured that there was least physical intrusion, quicker recovery, and best long term post op health care. I always felt confident in Dr. Karoshi. To be able to build that trust is vital, and I was very lucky to have had this rapport with Dr. Karoshi.

Very informative , explained everything in full to me and checked my understanding. Told me what I need to do to do before my next appointment. I have been a patient of Mr Aquilina for the past twenty one years and could not be more grateful to have been introduced to him all those years ago. Initially I went to see him after a miscarriage and he then cared for me during both my subsequent pregnancies and births. He has also patiently guided me through my menopause treatment, carefully explaining and reassuring me at every stage, ultimately something that was transformative for my quality of life. My most recent appointment with him was for a mirena replacement, part of my HRT. I was extremely nervous about the procedure but he was patient, didnt make me feel rushed and did everything he could to make me as comfortable as possible. Nurse Mila was wonderful also and didn't leave my side! I can honestly say that I trust Mr Aquilina with my life and could not recommend him highly enough. His knowledge, experience and kind bedside manner would be hard to beat.
