I recently underwent cataract surgery with Mr. Deshmukh, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. As someone with very high myopia (-10.25 dioptres) from childhood, my vision was a constant challenge. Glasses and contact lenses were my companions, and the world often appeared blurry. His thorough explanations allowed me to make an informed decision. Opting for bilateral surgery with EDOF lenses was a significant step, and Mr. Deshmukh guided me through the process with care. The outcome exceeded my expectations—both my long and short vision are excellent. After years of visual limitations, I now enjoy a brighter world with remarkable clarity. There is no one else I would trust to cut into my eyeballs ;) In all seriousness, Dr Ionides is a terrific ophthalmic surgeon. He always reviews my eye measurements carefully, explains things fully and does so in a very calm manner. I am relatively young to have cataracts and have always been scared of the optician especially the puffy puffer eye pressure machine. I had to go private as I was too scared to wait. It was the best decision me and my family made. Mr Kasmiya was so kind, gentle and patient with me. He explained everything to me in a kind manner and was clear as to what to expect. He never made me feel silly for being so scared of the operation and helped me throughout my time at the King Edward VII Hospital. His after care has been great no puffer machines! He has always been fair and honest in his diagnosis. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Kasmiya for any optical issues you may have concerns with. I am currently saving for my next eye operation which I know will be as great as the first.

The problem will have been me not following his orders. Absolutely no issues.
