I could not recommend Mr Mokawem enough after the treatment and care he has given me for my scoliosis. Every appointment we had, we are always approached with a reassuring and calm manner, and feeling fully informed on our possible options. We were meant to go ahead with surgery, yet after the Multi-Disciplinary Meeting took place, we were told that in my current position, they should not operate until further investigation had taken place. This just shows how incredible this team is, willing to postpone the surgery as something was not quite adding up. However, after thorough investigation, the surgery went ahead. He always left me choice throughout this process, listing all of the benefits and drawbacks of each stage. I was operated on at the RNOH, and almost every day, Mr Mokawem would come and see me. On around day 3, he came in and asked me if I wanted to stand and go for a short walk. I didn’t as this was one of the days I felt the most sore, but after some time chatting with him, he reassured me and supported me to push myself. I could not be more grateful for Mr Mokawem and his team’s care, and would highly recommend him to anyone! He has been hugely reassuring both to me and my parents.

Dr Davagnanam was a delight and a stark contrast change to the experience I had with another pain specialist I had previously seen - he took the time to explain the procedure again, answer any further questions and throughout the actual procedure talked me through what to expect / feel at each stage. I came to see Mr Allibone for a second opinion after I was told that I needed surgery. He recommended further imaging and tests before he decides. He’s one of the best of bests.

I was very disappointed. While I appreciate that I hae no basis on which to make a judgement of Mr Seel's clinical skill, I found his interaction with me cursory. He seemed disinterested in my experience and I await with interest what happens when we meet and he has the findings of the clinical tests to discuss with me.
