I first met Mr Okaro 8 years ago when he performed my myomectomy. He has supported by gynaecological health through many years and this year made my dream of being a mom possible. He supported me and my husband through a difficult pregnancy and safely delivered a beautiful baby girl.

I was very lucky to have been treated by Dr. karoshi. He has this very calm and warm demeanor, which was very welcomed by someone like me who's usually a little nervous. He is very patient, the same question he'd explain to me again and again till I understood completely. He was very thorough, unlike my previous experience, he took the time to thoroughly investigate my situation, came up with the best surgery option, one ensured that there was least physical intrusion, quicker recovery, and best long term post op health care. I always felt confident in Dr. Karoshi. To be able to build that trust is vital, and I was very lucky to have had this rapport with Dr. Karoshi.

The embolization procedure was a much preferred option for me than a more intrusive hysterectomy. It was quick, minimum discomfort and amazingly effective, in that the considerable reduction in my very heavy periods was virtually instant. I would go as far as to say it was life-changing and I have never looked back. The procedure not only saw me through until after the menopause, when my periods would stop anyway, but now 15 years down the line, still the fibroids remain ‘shrunk’ and not causing me any issues. I would recommend the procedure to anyone faced with multiple or large fibroids that have a considerable impact on your life and well-being. Dr Crowe could not have done more or been more accommodating.

Professor Brookes’s diagnosis of what my very unusual problem could be and explanation of what he intended to do about it, gave me full confidence in him, from the outset. I am pleased with the results under Mr Rathod’s care. My first meeting with him in November 2023 was very optimistic. He gave me a plan which was completed in just 4 months. This includes MRI scan, Christmas holiday break, open myomectomy surgery on January and follow-up consultations on February. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend.

I have been receiving support from Mr Hamoda for issues relating to Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI)/early menopause since 2021. When I initially saw him, I was in a very difficult place, having struggled with the multitude of symptoms related to hormone deficiency over a period of around 2 years. He confirmed diagnosis of my condition from my symptoms and blood test results, explained to me why my body was struggling and what we could do together to get the problem under control. Most importantly for me is his reassurance that the situation was temporary and that a combination of hormone replacement therapies would get to the root and help me manage my symptoms. Mr Hamoda is without doubt one of the top consultants in the UK in regards to menopause expertise and treatment; not all medical professionals are able to combine their expertise with a caring and empathetic manner with their patients, but Mr Hamoda does this very well. You can tell he cares and actually wants to help his patient. Each appointment I have had has been very positive; I feel listened to, can ask questions and am very much part of the decision-making in my care. Mr Hamoda also follows up promptly with my GP, providing details of each appointment, what was discussed as well as instructions on what medications to prescribe. I continue to see Mr Hamoda from time to time, trust him implicitly and have absolutely no hesitation to recommend him to anyone struggling with peri-menopausal symptoms.
