I was looked after at the RNOH when I was undergoing major spinal surgery, March 2024. The staff there were amazing, from when we arrived a day early, they still accommodated for us, to just coming in and checking up on me regularly. They are all really friendly and will come and help you quickly if you need something. The hospital itself is in a really nice area, surrounded by lots of trees and the countryside, so a very nice place to look out of from your window in your room, or when you are having a walk around. The garden was lovely too, it allowed a chance to be able just to have a short walk outside without having to go too far away from your room. The food was good, compared to lots of other hospital catering, and there were always snacks and drinks by your bed if you every get hungry. Overall, it is a really good hospital!

I recently saw Mr Davis and he was wonderful. He was kind and put me at ease right away. The procedure was easy and he followed up with me by phone. His nurses were also fantastic. When I had a question, I got a prompt response which I really appreciated.

HCA ancillary staff were excellent and friendly, putting me at ease. The one exception is that despite being fully covered by private medical insurance (incl pre-authorisation codes and competing multiple online forms and confirming details) the HCA administrative/ reception staff on arrival were overly focused on (and their primary priority is to) obtain credit card details and associated authorisation for extra procedures and tests which go beyond the scope of the referral and pre-authorisation in case suggested. The requested authorisation is open-ended and requested at a point when patients are vulnerable. The HCA admin staff were unable to explain why authorisation was required in my circumstances with full insurance coverage - all they could manage was a weak “it’s just our process”.

I am extremely pleased with the exceptional care I received throughout my stay at The Clementine Churchill Hospital. The staff displayed remarkable professionalism, kindness and efficiency. The medical team led by Mr Magdy Nawar ensured that I was well-informed and comfortable at every stage of the procedure. Thanks to the attentive nursing staff and the physiotherapists, my recovery has been both swift and smooth. I am deeply grateful for the outstanding care provided by the Clementine Churchill Hospital and would highly recommend them.
