When I first came to the Priory I didn't know what to expect as I have never had counselling before. I didn't have to wait long to be seen. On entering the building there is a warm, calm atmosphere from the staff. They are so kind and helpful and have helped me in so many ways. They always say good morning and always offer me a drink from the tea and coffee machine. The building is spotless and has a lovely fishtank in reception. Very calming. I have an amazing counsellor Sue who is helping me through my most darkest time. She greeted me with a lovely smile and made me feel at ease right from the start. The Priory is so calming. I enjoy my sessions with Sue and always feel better after my session. She is always very compassionate and calming. Thank you everyone at the Priory. You are the best. Kind regards Julie K

I have so much gratitude to every councillor, consultant, therapist, doctor, nurse, every ward staff member, catering, maintenance, the cleaning staff and receptionist. Structured days dealing with all types of people, groups are good and educational for my future recovery

My experience with Living Mind was a very pleasurable one. The staff were friendly and made me feel at ease. I was able to ask as many questions and raise my concerns about the procedure. They were extremely helpful.

Entering the lady at reception says straight down the corridor to room 6. Door at the end of the corridor says waiting room 3 so I go back and ask and she says yes. Going in, room 6 says do not disturb. But I’m wondering if it’s been left like that by accident. There’s the sound of wind playing but no sign explaining why so I spend a few minutes trying to figure out if it’s wind or a speaker. This could be handled by explaining clearly where to go and what will happen - particularly important to people who are neurodivergent, which is why I’m here. I’m anxious enough without extra cognitive load. She could say “Straight down the corridor into waiting room 3, the doctor is in room 6. If it shows do not disturb then wait and he’ll be with you shortly. There’s a speaker playing wind sounds to try to put you at ease.”

Having the support of Natasha as care coordinator as well as the therapy from Helen Brice has been really helpful with my recovery. Paul Flynn's provision of the Flow machine has made a huge difference.
