About Mr Paul Conneely

Mr Paul Conneely is a Chartered Physiotherapist and owner of PMC Physiotherapy Clinic, specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports injury prevention, and rehabilitation. He graduated with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from Trinity College Dublin in 2004, before gaining diverse clinical experience at the Royal Hospital Donnybrook and St. Vincent’s University Hospital across stroke, cardiorespiratory, and general rehabilitation. In 2006, Paul completed a Master’s in Sports Medicine at Trinity and later became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) in 2012.

Since 2005, Paul has worked extensively in private practice and sports rehabilitation, establishing PMC Physiotherapy in 2014, where he continues to lead the clinic’s development. His career in elite sport includes physiotherapy roles with Carlow GAA, Meath underage and Minor football panels, and the High-Performance Unit of Swim Ireland, accompanying athletes to European and World Championships. From 2016, he worked with the Sport Ireland Institute, providing physiotherapy support to Olympic athletes, before becoming Lead Physiotherapist for Paralympics Ireland in 2018, supporting athletes across track and field, swimming, and cycling through to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Outside of physiotherapy, Paul is a passionate sportsman who enjoys running, cycling, triathlons, and hiking across Ireland and the UK.
