Mr Jack Barrett

Mr Jack Barrett is a Physiotherapist and Sports Therapist with a strong background in sports performance, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. He graduated with First Class Honours in Physiotherapy from Hanze Hogeschool, Groningen in 2023, having previously earned an Honours Degree in Sports Therapy from London Metropolitan University in 2018.

Jack joined PMC Physiotherapy during his final internship and has since become an integral member of the team. His experience extends across both clinical and sports settings, having worked with multiple local clubs including North Kildare Rugby Football Club, the Meath GAA Football Academy, and the Leinster Rugby Clubs team. He has also previously supported Carrickshock GAA in Kilkenny and the Carlow/Kilkenny Football Academy, developing expertise in sports-related injuries and return-to-play rehabilitation.

Before qualifying as a physiotherapist, Jack spent several years coaching rugby at Castleknock College and the Leinster Rugby School of Excellence, fostering a deep understanding of athletic movement and performance. While studying in the Netherlands, he co-founded the Groningen Gaels GAA Club, which continues to compete across Europe. He also gained international clinical experience through an Erasmus placement at Hospital Egas Moniz in Lisbon, working in acute care.

As Head Physiotherapist for North Kildare RFC, Jack combines his passion for sport with evidence-based physiotherapy to help athletes of all levels recover, perform, and excel.

Jack has a special interest in Hamstring injuries, having undertaken extensive and specialist training in this area
