Wellington Eye Clinic

The Wellington Eye Clinic, established in 1980, takes its name from its original location on Wellington Road in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. Pioneering laser refractive surgery in Ireland in 1990, it has a rich history of innovation. 

The clinic's popularity soon outgrew its Ballsbridge premises, prompting a relocation in December 2006 to its current state-of-the-art facility at the Beacon Medical Campus in Sandyford, Dublin 18. The Wellington Eye Clinic offers an extensive array of services, including laser eye surgery, cataract surgery, customised lens replacement (CLR) with options like blended vision or advanced technology IOLs (AT-IOLs), phakic implant surgery (ICL), corneal cross-linking, and various surgical and contact lens solutions for keratoconus. It provides comprehensive ophthalmology assessments and treatments for a wide range of ocular conditions.

The clinic has some of the best diagnostic capabilities in Ireland, ensuring that patients receive the most comprehensive eye examination possible. Laser procedures are conducted in the clinic's dedicated operating theatre, where they have successfully completed over 55,000 procedures. Lens procedures (CLR and ICL) and cataract surgeries are performed at the adjacent Beacon Hospital, with more than 15,000 procedures conducted to date.
