About Dr. Swetha Shankar
Dr. Swetha Shankar is an ENT specialist and surgeon at Mueller Medical Clinic in Dubai Healthcare City. She has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose and throat conditions. Alongside her clinical practice, she has also worked in academic medicine, combining patient care with teaching and training responsibilities.
She completed her Medical Degree at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, followed by a Master’s degree in ENT and Head and Neck Surgery at A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Mangalore. After her postgraduate training, she began her career at VIMS Hospital in Ballari and later at Shri B.M. Patil Medical College in Vijayapura . She was appointed as Assistant Professor and ENT Surgeon at KVG Medical College Sullia, where she worked until early 2025, training medical students and performing a wide range of ENT procedures.
In January 2025, Dr. Shankar joined Mueller Medical Clinic as an ENT Specialist. Her clinical focus includes Septotubinoplasty, Endoscopic sinus surgery, Tympanoplasty/Mastoid surgeries and Adenotonsillectomy, as well as broader treatments in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery. She is dedicated to improving patient's quality of life through surgical and/or non-surgical interventions for Ear, nose and throat disorders.

I was operated by Dr. Swetha. Shankar 4 years ago in India. I was suffering from ear discharge since many years and reduced hearing too! Doctor did my ear surgery, she repaired the hole in my ear drum and also removed lot of disease from the bone behind my ear. I have no discharge coming from my ear anymore and I can also hear very well now! I would definitely recommend Dr. Swetha if you want any ENT surgery!

My nephew was suffering from snoring, mouth breathing, frequent throat pain and was unable to hear anything. After a detailed consultation with Dr. Swetha. Shankar, she advised medications first and then Adenotonsillectomy with bilateral tymponometry and grommet insertion(for his ear issue) My nephew is 2 months post surgery now and is completely normal and relieved of all his symptoms. I thank Dr. Swetha for her thorough evaluation and the right treatment. Our journey with her was hassle free and she always answered all our queries. The post operative recovery of my nephew was also amazing without any complications and she is great with kids too :) Highly recommend her.

I underwent a wax removal procedure about a month ago and throughout the entire process Dr Swetha explained the procedure patiently, paused every few seconds to check in for discomfort and carried out the entire process gently, relieving me of any pain or discomfort I was feeling prior to the process. Highly recommend consulting her for your ENT concerns!

I visited Dr. Swetha Shankar for long-standing sinus issues, and I’m really glad I did. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient in addressing all my concerns. She took the time to thoroughly explain the correct way to perform a nasal saline wash and also shared helpful tips on how to prevent sinus problems through proper nutrition. She performed a nasal endoscopy, and I was pleasantly surprised to feel no pain or pressure during the procedure. Dr. Swetha clearly has deep expertise in her field, and it shows in the way she treats her patients. Thank you, Doctor – I’m already feeling much better with the treatment!
