Dr Saba Aslam

Dr. Saba Aslam is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Management and Technology. With over seven years of experience, she has worked with individuals of all age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Dr. Aslam has expertise in addressing a wide range of mental health issues, such as stress, depression, anxiety, emotional and behavioral problems, anger issues, intellectual disability, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), interpersonal relationship problems, self-esteem issues, trust issues, adjustment problems, and coping related to developmental changes and trauma, including physical or sexual abuse in children and adolescents.

Dr. Aslam utilises a variety of assessment tools, including projective techniques, IQ tests, personality tests, and other psychological and neurodevelopmental assessment protocols. She adopts an integrative therapeutic approach, drawing from various theoretical orientations, including humanistic, psychoanalytic/psychodynamic, gestalt, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), behaviour modification, social skills training, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and applied behaviour analysis (ABA). This approach allows her to tailor the treatment to meet the specific needs of each individual.

In her work with families and couples, Dr. Aslam addresses interpersonal issues and focuses on empowering clients by recognizing their strengths and facilitating personality growth and development. She provides a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their challenges and collaboratively work towards a more fulfilling and happier life.

Dr. Aslam is a member of several professional associations, including the American Psychological Association (APA), the Australian & New Zealand Mental Health Association (ANZMH), the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP), and the Pakistan Association of Clinical Psychology (PACP). She has also received research rewards for excellent research publications and has presented papers at national and international conferences. Dr. Aslam is a licensed psychologist with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), ensuring that she meets the professional standards and regulations in the UAE.
