Mr Richard Jackson

Recovery from SLAP tear surgery I’ve been seeing Mr Richard Jackson for physiotherapy following surgery for a SLAP tear & bicep tendonitis, he’s a UK trained physiotherapist who specialises in only the upper limbs, using a hands on & exercise approach. He came highly recommended by my surgeon as an expert in shoulder rehabilitation and I can see why. Treatment has consisted of a strong firm massage which has been a life saver for reducing pain and improving flexibility, followed by a session in the world class gym facility, where each week I had new exercises explained & demonstrated. I liked that Mr Jackson videoed the exercises and sent them to me, essentially giving me homework to do between sessions. Mr Jackson is an excellent communicator, clearly explaining what he was doing and why I should be performing certain exercises. The weekly sessions have been methodical which gave me a real sense of progressing towards my goal of getting back to playing golf after 16 weeks. Over a 20 year rugby career I’ve seen a lot of physiotherapists, it’s become abundantly clear to me that Mr Jackson and the Orthopro Clinic are taking physiotherapy to the next level. Highly recommended, particularly for recovery from shoulder injuries & surgery.
