Following his surgical training, he went on to obtain a whole range of qualifications, including a Fellowship in Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and a Fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the Royal College of Surgeons England. He then began working as a Consultant Paediatric and Adult Spinal Surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospital in the UK.
He enjoys teaching and training junior doctors and university students and has held the position of Senior Lecturer at the University of Sheffield.
He has also been awarded the prestigious William Gissane Memorial Prize.

Dr. Michael is a heaven sent to me. I only came for a normal check up, next thing I knew, we’re doing the surgery. He helped me understand the cause of my pain; the pros and cons, the procedure of the surgery or what is his plan for my case; until to the post operative care. He is very transparent and accommodating to all our questions. My spine was 68 degrees and I’m now down to 21 degrees. As a person who lived with scoliosis for 20+ years, this is deftly a success! He is indeed one of the best spine doctors in Dubai! I absolutely recommend him to all my colleagues.

From the moment I met Dr Michael he immediately put me at ease and explained everything thing carefully and clearly - he even explained again for my husband’s benefit Pre- procedure which I was very grateful for! Have total confidence and I’m very happy I chose to see him!!
