Dr. Ramez Reda Moustafa

Dr. Ramez Reda Moustafa is Professor of Neurology at Ain Shams University in Cairo and a Consultant Neurologist at United Medical Centre. He is also the founder of NEUROMED, a pioneering medical centre dedicated to neurology and sleep medicine, which has expanded into one of Egypt’s foremost institutions in the field.

Dr. Moustafa earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with honours from Ain Shams University in 1998, followed by a Master’s degree in Neurology and Psychiatry in 2002. He went on to complete his MD in Neurology at Ain Shams in 2007 and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2005. Between 2004 and 2009, he pursued his PhD at the University of Cambridge, conducting clinical research on advanced neuroimaging techniques for patients with ischemic stroke and carotid artery disease.

His clinical expertise spans stroke, sleep disorders, and headache management, and his research contributions include numerous publications, books, and book chapters. In recognition of his work, he received the Egyptian National Award for Scientific Research in Neurology in 2012 and continues to serve on editorial boards and as a peer reviewer for international journals.
