Dr. Prabhu Narendra

Dr Narendra Prabhu is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Al Zahra Private Hospital in Dubai, a premier 180-bed specialist hospital with state-of-the-art equipment.

He is skilled in a wide range of major trauma and orthopaedic procedures and is able to manage acute trauma, performing open or closed reduction and internal or external fixation of fractures.

His expertise covers a range of procedures, including interlocking nailing of long bones, spinal surgeries such as micro discectomy, and instrumentation for trauma and degenerative conditions. He also has expertise in managing hand trauma, including tendon repair and fixation of fractures of short and long bones.

He has vast experience in the following areas:

• Total Hip and Knee Replacement
• Arthroscopy: Knee (ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair) and Shoulder (Bankart repair, sub acromial decompression)
• Corrective Osteotomies
• All types of major Trauma of both upper and lower limb including hand and foot using current AO techniques
• Carpal Tunnel Decompression and other orthopaedic soft tissue surgery
• Tendon Repair
• Spinal Instrumentation, Laminectomy, & Discectomy

Dr Prabhu holds a medical degree from Kasturba Medical College as well as an MS in orthopaedics and an MCH from the American Institute of Medicine. Furthermore, he is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow.

Additionally, he has undertaken a spine fellowship at the Centre for Spinal Studies and Surgery in Queen's Medical Centre Nottingham under the guidance of renowned spinal surgeon, Mr Michael Grevitt. He is highly qualified and has completed numerous courses in various countries including Croatia, Germany, Spain, India, and Malaysia. His total experience is 25 years, and he has previously been a specialist orthopaedic surgeon at a number of reputable institutes, including NMC Speciality Hospital and Al Ghadeer Specialised Medical Centre.
