Dr. Micaela Churruca

Dr. Micaela Churruca is a renowned Spanish-Board Certified Specialist Dermatologist with over 10 years of experience in the field. She completed her training at the University Hospital Severo Ochoa in Madrid, Spain, and has been practising in the UAE since 2018. Throughout her career, she has worked at prominent institutions such as Lutetia Aesthetics Clinic-Al Futtaim and the American Hospital as a Specialist Dermatologist. She was also an Associated Professor of Dermatology at the University of Sharjah.

Dr. Churruca’s expertise spans a wide range of dermatological services, including general and pediatric dermatology, skin cancer prevention and treatment (with a focus on digital mole mapping and skin cancer surgery), and aesthetic dermatology.

She is proficient in performing various aesthetic procedures, including the use of laser and light-based devices, Botulinum toxin, filler injections, chemical peels, mesotherapy, PRP treatments, exosomes, polinucleotides, radiofrequency and ultrasound devices.

She is an active member of several prestigious dermatological organisations, including the American Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, and the International Dermoscopic Society.

Dr. Churruca is also passionate about pediatric dermatology and skin cancer prevention and treatment. She is the founder of the first-ever sun protective swimwear brand, Badawii Beachwear. Her clinical specialties include skin cancer management, acne, hair loss management, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, vitiligo, nail disorders, and scars management, among others.
