Subject: Complaint Regarding Overcharging and Lack of Consent – Dental Visit on 11 Feb 2025 I visited Dr. Heba Javed (Dental) for a check-up due to tooth pain on 11.02.2025 at 6:20 PM. I am writing to file a complaint regarding the way I was treated and charged during this visit. My consultation fee was AED 46, and I was required to pay AED 17 as coinsurance for the X-ray. Therefore, my total payable amount should have been AED 63. However, the cashier charged me AED 192. When I asked about the additional amount, I was told that an electric dental test had been performed and the remaining charges were for that. I was never informed by the doctor that this test would involve an additional cost of AED 650, nor was I asked for consent to proceed with it, which resulted in an extra AED 130 payable from my side. Furthermore: * The doctor did not explain or seek my permission before conducting the test. * The cashier issued me a receipt showing only AED 63, despite charging AED 192. * When I requested a receipt for the full payment, I was told approval had not yet been submitted. * If approval had not been obtained, I do not understand why the test was conducted without informing me or taking my permission, and why payment was collected in advance. * When I asked for a payment breakdown before paying, the cashier refused and asked me to pay first, and even after payment, no proper breakdown was provided. She’s always nice, friendly, and caring. I really appreciate the way she takes care of my teeth. Every visit with her makes me feel happy and confident.
