Dr. Hasini Perera

Dr. Hasini Perera is a General Practitioner with over seven years of experience in the treatment of acute and chronic conditions, including hypertension, thyroid conditions, vitamin deficiencies, type 2 diabetes, and hyperlipidemia, in addition to providing patients with dietary and lifestyle advice. She sees patients at the HealthHub Al Qusais, Dubai.

Dr. Perera earned her primary medical degree at Kasturba Medical College Mangalore, India, and gained work experience from India. During this time spent training, Dr. Perera worked as a GP in a hospital setting for 2 years, and also in a clinic setting for 4 years thereafter. She also gained 4 months of clinical experience in USA in 2019.  In January 2021, Dr. Perera went on to work within the vaccination team for Sinopharm and later COVID-19 field hospital in Abu-Dhabi until April. While working at the COVID-19 Field Hospital, Dr. Perera gained experience in treating COVID-19 patients with comorbidities such as obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes; administering vaccinations, and counseling patients on side effects and contraindications.

Since qualifying, Dr. Perera has completed the United States Medical License Exam, allowing her to gain knowledge and expertise in the prevention and control of infectious disease and emergency response, prevention, and management.
