Dr. Ali Choukair is a Specialist Gastroenterologist at CMC Dubai with expertise in gastroenterology and hepatology. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in 2000 before earning his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 2004. Following graduation, he undertook two years of clinical research and electives in Lebanon and the United States. In 2006, he joined the American University Hospital (AUH), where he completed his residency and fellowship training in gastroenterology, which he finished in 2012.
In 2009, Dr. Choukair received his ECFMG certification, and in 2014 he obtained his Norwegian Medical License. Since 2013, he has been practicing in the Gulf region and has been based in the UAE since 2015.
Dr. Choukair’s clinical expertise covers a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, including digestive and motility disorders, stomach and colon diseases, and liver-related conditions. He performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as colonoscopy for screening and early detection of polyps and colorectal cancer, gastroscopy, capsule endoscopy, and esophageal pH and motility studies. In addition, he has significant experience in non-surgical weight loss management and in the treatment of gastro-esophageal reflux disease.
