Ms Zoe Heffernan

Ms Zoe Heffernan is a Registered Psychologist who is dedicated to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing in young people. With a strong passion for supporting children and adolescents, she provides compassionate, client-centred, and neuro-affirming care. Ms Heffernan collaborates closely with her clients and their families to develop tailored interventions that support their unique needs and help them thrive.

Throughout her career, Ms Heffernan has gained valuable experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across both educational settings and private practice. She is highly proficient in psychological assessment, intervention, and counselling. Her clinical areas of interest include supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), emotional dysregulation, attachment issues, and complex trauma. Additionally, she has significant experience supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental diagnoses, such as Autism and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

To deliver high-quality care, Ms Heffernan utilises a variety of evidence-based therapeutic frameworks. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and play therapy. Ms Heffernan completed her academic training at Monash University, where she earned a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology as well as a Graduate Diploma of Professional Psychology.
