Dr Zeljka Calic

Dr Zeljka Calic is a highly qualified Consultant Neurologist who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of neurological conditions. With a clinical approach centred on evidence-based medicine and patient reassurance, she specialises in diagnosing and managing complex disorders of the brain and nervous system. Her clinical focus spans general neurology, with a particular interest in stroke, cerebrovascular diseases, and neuro-otology, which includes the assessment and management of complex vertigo and vestibular disorders.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Calic is deeply committed to medical research and academic advancement in the field of neurology. She has contributed significantly to scientific literature, particularly in the areas of posterior circulation stroke, cerebellar infarction, and vestibular function testing. Her research efforts aim to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes, utilising advanced diagnostic tools and innovative methodologies to better differentiate between various causes of acute neurological symptoms.

Dr Calic completed her medical education at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) in 2008. Driven by a passion for clinical research, she subsequently undertook a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focusing on the diagnostic pathways and outcomes of cerebellar infarction.
