Dr Zahi Khouri

Dr Zahi Khouri is a highly qualified Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who holds dual registration as both a Medical Specialist and a Dental Specialist. With a professional approach focused on patient-centred care and clinical excellence, he provides comprehensive surgical care for a wide range of conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and neck. Dr Khouri is dedicated to delivering personalised treatment plans that restore both function and aesthetics, ensuring his patients feel supported and reassured throughout their surgical journey.

Originally from New Zealand, Dr Khouri completed his dental degree at the University of Otago before obtaining his medical degree from the University of Adelaide. Following his dual degrees, he undertook extensive advanced surgical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a Specialist Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. To maintain the highest standards of clinical practice, he regularly participates in professional development and collaborates with other Dental and Medical Specialists to manage complex reconstructive cases.

His clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr Khouri has a particular interest in dental implantology, including complex reconstructions and advanced implant solutions such as zygomatic, pterygoid, and nasalis implants for patients experiencing severe bone loss. His practice also encompasses wisdom teeth removal, surgical dental extractions, corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), facial trauma management, and the diagnosis and treatment of benign oral pathology, including excisional biopsies of orofacial lesions.
