Dr Yew Cheong

Dr Yew Cheong is a highly regarded General and Interventional Cardiologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred cardiac care. With a clinical focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of cardiovascular conditions, he is dedicated to delivering holistic treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs. Dr Cheong is known for his reassuring approach and clear communication, ensuring that patients feel fully informed and supported throughout their healthcare journey.

As a General and Interventional Cardiologist, Dr Cheong has a particular interest in the management of coronary artery disease, ischaemic heart disease, and associated cardiovascular risk factors. He is highly skilled in performing invasive coronary procedures, including coronary angiography, balloon angioplasty, and coronary stenting, utilising both radial and femoral approaches. Additionally, he manages complex conditions such as heart failure, valvular heart disease, and arrhythmias, and is proficient in non-invasive diagnostic investigations, including echocardiography and CT coronary angiography.

Dr Cheong obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Melbourne. He completed his advanced interventional fellowship training in Richmond, alongside postgraduate training in CT coronary angiography. Dr Cheong is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (FCSANZ).
