Dr Yasser Tariq

Dr Tariq is an ophthalmologist with expertise in the treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusions. Dr Tariq studied science and medicine at the University of New South Wales. Their specialty training in ophthalmology was through Sydney Eye Hospital. Their medical retina subspecialty fellowship training was at Westmead Hospital. Dr Tariq was awarded a PhD from The University of Sydney for their investigation into the normative values and associations of retinal measurements by optical coherence tomography.

Dr Tariq is the first author of several publications in internationally renowned journals. They have been regularly involved in the teaching of ophthalmology registrars, other doctors and medical students and holds an academic appointment as a clinical associate lecturer at Sydney Medical School, The University of Sydney.
