Dr Win Thein

Dr Win Thein is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals and families. With a reassuring and professional approach, she is committed to supporting her patients through all stages of life, ensuring they receive personalised medical attention tailored to their unique health needs. Her broad clinical expertise allows her to address a wide range of health concerns, fostering long-term wellness within the community.

Dr Thein obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and subsequently completed a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) to further her expertise in paediatric care. Demonstrating her commitment to the highest standards of medical practice, she is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Her extensive clinical background includes valuable experience practising medicine in both Myanmar and Australia, equipping her with a diverse and well-rounded perspective on healthcare delivery.

With a strong focus on preventative health and chronic disease management, Dr Thein has developed key clinical interests in several areas of family medicine. She is particularly passionate about women's health, antenatal care, paediatrics, and diabetes management. Whether guiding expectant mothers through pregnancy or managing complex chronic conditions, she prioritises clear communication and collaborative decision-making to empower her patients.

Outside of her clinical practice, Dr Thein values quality time spent with her family, particularly her two children. She also enjoys gardening, finding relaxation and balance in nurturing her outdoor spaces.
