Dr William Lim

Dr William Lim is a dedicated and highly accomplished General Practitioner who provides comprehensive primary care. With a career spanning several decades across multiple countries, Dr Lim brings a wealth of international clinical experience to his practice. He is deeply committed to delivering patient-centred care, focusing on preventative medicine and helping individuals manage chronic health conditions to improve their overall quality of life.

Dr Lim completed his medical training at the University of Singapore, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1967. He subsequently pursued advanced training in the United Kingdom, obtaining his postgraduate qualification in internal medicine and becoming a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 1974. Before establishing his practice in Sydney, Australia, in 1977, he gained valuable clinical experience working in Singapore, Malaysia, England, and Scotland.

In his daily practice, Dr Lim has developed a strong clinical interest in managing lifestyle-related chronic diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, ischaemic heart disease, fatty liver, obesity, and metabolic syndrome. He is also highly experienced in treating allergic diseases and is an accredited s100 hepatitis B prescriber, reflecting his dedication to managing and eliminating hepatitis B within the community. Dr Lim is passionate about preventative health, advocating for smoking cessation and lifestyle modifications to reduce the risk of certain cancers.
