Dr Wei Zhao

Dr Wei Zhao is a compassionate and highly accomplished General Practitioner who is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare. She focuses on providing reassuring and high-quality medical care to individuals of all ages, helping them navigate their health journeys with confidence. Dr Zhao specialises in all aspects of general practice, combining clinical excellence with an empathetic approach to ensure that every patient receives personalised attention.

Dr Zhao completed her Bachelor of Medicine and subsequently attained her PhD at the University of Sydney in 1994. She is also an accredited Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Before transitioning into general practice, she built a strong clinical foundation as a Clinical Superintendent at major metropolitan hospitals and subsequently practised as a Consultant Endocrinologist, which enhanced her expertise in managing complex endocrine and metabolic disorders.

Her clinical interests are diverse, with a strong emphasis on chronic disease management, particularly diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, and osteoporosis. Dr Zhao is highly skilled in women's health, offering essential services such as cervical screening tests, antenatal care, and family planning, as well as weight management and cardiovascular health. Additionally, she provides comprehensive support in child health and immunisations, mental health, medication reviews, and driver's licence medical assessments, ensuring a holistic and thorough approach to family medicine.
